OUR MISSION + PURPOSE
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
To discover what God is doing and encourage that effort.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE OBSERVED:
1. Jesus Said: “Follow Me.”
-Matthew 4:19
2. Greatest Commandment: He said to them love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. The second is like it; love your neighbor as yourself.
-Matthew 22: 37-39; Deuteronomy 6: 5
3. Great Commission: Jesus came near and said to them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go (as you are going), therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you and remember I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

4. The Role of the Spirit: “I will ask the Father and He will give you another Counselor/Advocate to be with you forever. He is the spirit of truth the world is unable to receive Him because it doesn’t see Him or know Him. But you do know Him because he remains in you and will be in you.
-John 14:16-17
5. The Spirit of Truth: I (Jesus) have spoken these things to you while I remain with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.
-John 16: 7&13; John 14:25
These are the characteristics that we look for in determining “What God is doing” and what efforts we might want to encourage. These characteristics should be evident without having to ask!
